Bio-C is pure Sodium Ascorbate combined with Bioflavonoids. This form of vitamin C has a saltier, less sour taste than ascorbic acid, making it more pleasant to the taste. It is also naturally buffered which reduces gastric distress commonly associated with high doses of straight ascorbic acid.

Sodium ascorbate is a potent water-soluble antioxidant, while the bioflavonoids help to maintain capillary integrity and also act as antioxidants. Bio-C supports the recharge of lipid-phase antioxidants such as vitamin E (redox cycling).

Clinical applications for Bio-C include diseases that are characterized by excessive oxidative stress, such as upper respiratory disease.

The dosing indicated on the product label is suitable for everyday support of the immune system and general health. However in situations of excessive oxidative stress, it is recommended to increase dose to 1/2 scoop per 4.5 kg (10 lbs) BW BID, or higher dosing as required. If diarrhea develops at higher doses, discontinue administration.
