Rx Clay for the adsorption of toxins

Rx Clay is recommended for diarrhea associated with chemotherapeutic or bacterial toxins. Rx Clay is a finely ground hydrated calcium aluminosilicate clay (a type of montmorillonite clay). The small particle size enables this highly adsorptive clay to disperse broadly in the bowel where it supports the intestinal mucosal barrier and adsorbs toxins and pro-inflammatory compounds that can contribute to diarrhea.

Gastrointestinal toxicity can be a limiting factor for many chemotherapeutic agents. This clay was tested on dogs undergoing chemotherapy with intractable diarrhea. The majority of dogs in the study resolved their diarrhea within 48-72 hours.

Rx Clay is also well suited for patients with diarrhea linked to bacterial enterotoxins or endotoxins, helping to adsorb toxins and promote normal stool consistency.
